Gameplay experience

- Player can level up the skills of their characters in multiple directions, like for example they may spend all of their skill points on combat-related skills (weapons, armor). This is called “specialization”.
- Player can also choose to level up initially unrelated skills while getting combat-related ones on the way. This is achieved via “unconventional path”.
- Player levels up his/her character by gaining experience points, represented with fame. Fame increases at a constant rate regardless of how much you play the game. For each new level, the player gets a skill point and some gold.
- Player can pick and choose specific skills, select them all at random or take the defaults which the game assigns: These decisions affect what equipment or abilities are available later in the game or during that particular run.
- The world is persistent with no player to player interaction. – Enemies are slow and predictable, taking a single hit to defeat. – The player gains experience from killing enemies which is used to level up skills. – The main character can not be customized at all: It’s a group of survivors you control in the setting of Stormfall universe.
- Player can use guns and swords as weapons with armour to block some incoming damage. A player can increase his/her weapon damage with skills, but the actual effect is determined by a random dice roll.
